Simultaneous interpretation at various events held by the customer. The subject matter of the events corresponded to the main work areas: energy efficiency and conservation, nuclear technology, space technology, telecommunications, biomedical technology, strategic computer technologies and software. The events took place in Russia, Europe and the United States.

Simultaneous interpretation at the Conference of the Consortium for Global Studies, which brought together scientists from Russia and more than 50 other countries. The target language was English, though most of the foreign attendees were not native English speakers. Nevertheless, everything was translated in a professional manner and the organizers of the conference were quite pleased with the translation.

Full interpreting and translation support of the First International Anti-Counterfeiting 2012 Forum. The objectives of the event, organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, were to improve state policy as it relates to the protection of intellectual property rights and measures to counter the production and distribution of counterfeit goods, as well as the formation of a civilized market in Russia. Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, thanked MTA’s 16 interpreters and gave them the highest rating. The job also involved written translation.

On July 25, 2013, Moscow hosted the 4th International Investment Forum called Industrial Projects in Russia 2013, organized by the Association of Industrial Parks. The forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Sberbank and gathered more than 450 attendees from 30 regions of Russia and other countries. The forum program included presentations by representatives of the Russian government and Russian business associations, as well as presentations of investment projects of Russian regions. As a partner of the forum, MTA organized the simultaneous translation of the event. The company’s specialization in linguistic support for localization of production in Russia was one of the reasons MTA was chosen for the job. MTA had a booth at the exhibition, which allowed the attendees and guests of the forum to learn more about our business.

Simultaneous translation at the forum titled “Localizing production and sourcing in Russia.” The forum is an initiative of the German Economy within the framework of the Year of Germany in Russia. The forum was organized by the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber. As part of the event, MTA interpreters provided simultaneous translation of speeches. Moscow Translation Agency’s specialization in linguistic support for localization of production in Russia was an important reason why it was chosen to provide simultaneous translation at the forum. Over the past few years, MTA has successfully completed a number of large translation projects related to the creation of new industrial complexes in Russia involving foreign participation and the modernization of existing ones.

Translation of materials for the construction of facilities in preparation for the Olympic Games in Sochi. In cooperating with the customer, we translated a significant amount of business, design and working documentation for sports and infrastructure facilities, as well as foreign construction standards and procedures, including on ventilation for buildings (measurement and testing when commissioning installed ventilation and air conditioning systems), ventilation of non-residential buildings (performance requirements for ventilation and air-conditioning facilities), thermal performance of buildings (effectively detecting thermal irregularities in building envelopes using the infrared method), and heating systems in buildings (installing and commissioning water heating systems).

Translation of more than 3,000 pages of design and working documentation for the construction of a premium-class country resort in the Tver region. The design and working documentation was completed by a German architectural firm. The project involved a translation and required German and Russian architects to work together to adapt the project to the current Russian building codes.
